Life throws you curves balls and you have to learn to roll with the punches. This blog is about the daily adventures of me and my family, because with us, every single day is definitely a new ball game. Enjoy!

We're off to see the wizard ...
Last weekend, Jimmy and I went to a Halloween party that involved full costumes. Honestly, I'm not all that into Halloween ... I really never have been, but it was fun to dress up an d hang out with our friends. I was Dorothy and Jimmy was a Flying Monkey (from the Wizard of Oz). Enjoy the pictures ... they are pretty priceless!

Ignore my closed eyes ... don't you love how Brutus and Woody wanted to be in the picture?!

Handy Griffin
Griffin is going through a TOOL PHASE. He loves tools (real and play), he loves fixing things, and he loves watching Handy Manny. Whenever, Griffin goes into the basement with Jimmy, he always comes back with some sort of tool, so we bought him so fake tools and a tool bag. Here are a few pictures of my new handyman!

Sorry blog world, but I am ...
TIRED, EXHAUSTED, BEAT ... I have had a lot to do this week and the next few weeks will be even busier. Parent conferences, end of the nine weeks grades, baby shower, awards dinner, Lead Teacher meeting, plus life with Jimmy and Griffin! Anyways, if you don't hear from me in a few days/weeks, I am still here, just busy with my real life. Try not to miss me too much!

My candle will be lit ...
At 7 pm tonight, I will be lighting a candle for friends/family/strangers who have lost a child because today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss and Remembrance Day. I have been fortunate to have never experienced the loss of a child, but I know people who have and my heart breaks for them. So, in honor of the families who have lost a child, please light you candle and say a prayer with me!

To cut or not to cut?
Every so often I get the urge to chop my hair off and I am going through that right now. I am fortunate that Jimmy loves it when I get my hair cut, but I am still on the fence. I got this "cut" last year ...
and I did really like it, but am I ready to go short again? Reese Witherspoon's super cute hair is my inspiration.

So, what do you think ... should I cut it or not?

Easel Lovin'
We got Griffin an easel and he LOVES IT! Every day he colors on the chalkboard, erases it, and starts all over again ... oh, this boy and his coloring obsession. I think we may have a budding Monet on our hands!
I asked him to smile ... this is what I got!

How do they stack up?
The stack on the LEFT is the papers that I still need to grade. The stack on the RIGHT is the papers that I graded today.
This is a never ending cycle, but my grandparents stopping over with some red velvet cake definitely made the grading a little sweeter! Have a great week ... oh, and pray for me!

Fall Obsessions
I'll admit it ... I have a love/hate relationship with fall. I love the scenery, the jeans/sweater/boots days, the smells, the football, and the food, but I HATE THE COLD WEATHER! My husband, on the other hand, has waited for fall to start since it ended last yaar. To him, fall equals hunting season, which he is crazy about.
However, for today, I have decided to forget about the weather (even though is is 60 and drizzly here in Ohio) and talk about the three current things that I am really liking about fall.
=============================
Pumkin Spice Latte from Starbucks yummy, yummy, yummy ... definitely worth waiting in line for!

I think the boots would go really well with this chunky yellow sweater.
I'll keep adding to this list, so keep watching. What are your current fall obsessions?
