35 week survey

How far along: I am now 35 weeks pregnant ... 35-7=28 days to go!!!!!

Size of baby: Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver (ha - tell me something I didn't know) now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scale at 5 1/4 pounds. She'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight (according to Babycenter). I sure hope she doesn't put on too much more weight; my belly already feels like I might tip over!

Maternity clothes: Yes and yes ... most of my shirts are too short in the front.

Gender: It's a GIRL named Harper Elizabeth!

Movement: She definitely is a feisty little thing. She moves a lot during the day and even more in the early evening. She looks like she's trying to kick her way out of my right side!

Sleep: I slept pretty well this week except for some uncomfortableness from it being muggy.

What I miss: Being able to bend over, walk without getting winded, walk without a waddle, and walk without pain.

Cravings: This week I had a craving for ... water ... surprise! Also, I am coming back around to Hi-C Fruit Punch. I stole some of Griffin's juice boxes this week to satisfy my craving!

Symptoms: This post may not be long enough ... ha! Let's see: round ligament pain in my thigh/groin area, sciatic nerve pain, difficulty breathing, little baby feet sticking up into my ribs, swelling of my ankles, exhaustion, lower back pain, and just all around uncomfortableness.

What I'm looking forward to: Being skinny again ... ha! I'm getting my 2nd prenatal massage tomorrow. Also, I'm looking forward to only working for 15 more days!

Best moment this week: The best thing I saw this week was Griffin LOVING on his cousin Aylah! He loved her and it was beyond cute! I know he'll be a great big brother!

34 weeks survey

How far along: I am now 34 weeks pregnant ~ (42-7 = 35 days to go :) Some "lovely" woman at Babies R Us asked me if I was due next week ... ha, I just smiled and said, "No, I have 5 more weeks." I saw my doctor this week and she said that I am measuring right on, but since I'm all belly, I look bigger.

Size of baby: Your baby now weighs about 4.75 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers, which will help regulate her body temperature, are filling her out, making her rounder (according to Babycenter).

Maternity clothes: Yes and yes ... my clothes choices are becoming limited.

Gender: It's a GIRL named Harper Elizabeth!

Movement: Oh my goodness - she MOVES!!! Sometimes I feel like she might just pop out of the side of me. I see her little arms and legs stretching; poor girl doesn't have a lot of room.
Sleep: I slept pretty good this week with the exception of going to the bathroom every 2 hours. I do drink almost an entire glass of water in the night, so it's to be expected!

What I miss: Being able to bend over, walk without getting winded, put my shoes on easily, walk without a waddle, and walk without some pain (see symptoms)!

Cravings: Water, water, and more water ... it's such a weird craving, but I need water with lots and lots of ice in it!

Symptoms: My latest symptom is round ligament pain in my upper thigh/groin area; it really makes it hurt to walk:( Also, this week I experienced difficulty breathing, swelling ankles/toes (see below - notice the cute pedi though; I treated myself this week), exhaustion, sore lower back, and some all-around uncomfortableness.

Best moment this week: Jimmy and I got to have a night out on Saturday ... we couldn't figure out when we were out last - ha!! We went to dinner and Babies R Us. We got a super cute pack and play (already assembled) on clearance and it's totally girly!!!

Also, this adorable dress came in the mail this week!!!! Squee ... so cute!
What I'm looking forward to: This weekend is Easter, so I am looking forward to spending time with our families and relaxing!

33 week survey

How far along: I am now 33 weeks pregnant ~ (49-7 = 42 days to go :)

Size of baby: This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark (according to Babycenter). There are times when I feel like she doesn't have enough room in my belly ... ha!

Maternity clothes: Yes and yes ... my clothes choices are becoming limited.

Gender: It's a GIRL named Harper Elizabeth!

Movement: I feel her move A LOT! I can see my belly moving when she moves ... it's so funny! There are times where the movements actually hurt!

Sleep: I've been having some sleepless periods this week, but I think this is due to last week's stress of planning a Prom!

What I miss: Being able to move, walk without getting winded, put my shoes on easily, walk without a waddle, and walk without some pain (see symptoms)!

Cravings: Water, water, and more water ... it's such a weird craving, but I need water with lots and lots of ice in it!

Symptoms: My new symptom is round ligament pain in my upper thigh/groin area; it really makes it hurt to walk:( Also, some other fun symptoms are heartburn, difficulty breathing, swelling ankles/toes, exhaustion, and sore lower back.

Best moment this week: This is totally not baby related, but Prom is OVER! I am an advisor for Prom and now, it's done! Yeah! I also bought a few more items from the list ... she's going to be ready soon!

What I'm looking forward to: I am getting anxious and ready for Harper to get here!

32 week survey: 8 months!

How far along: I am now 32 weeks pregnant ... 8 months pregnant!!! My ticker says 56 days, but minus 7 days for c-section puts us around 49 days until little Harper comes to us! Woohoo!!!

Size of baby: By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb (according to Babycenter). I DEFINITELY feel like she takes up a lot of space - ha ;)

Maternity clothes: Definitely maternity pants and mostly maternity shirts. Some of my favorite shirts are getting too short in the front :(

Gender: It's a GIRL named Harper Elizabeth!

Movement: I feel her move A LOT! I can see my belly moving when she moves ... it's so funny! There are times where the movements actually hurt! I feel like I am crowding her - ha!

Sleep: I sleep really well at night (except the peeing) and I have been pretty worn out after work each day.

What I miss: Being able to move, walk without getting winded, bend over, and walk without a waddle! I also miss being able to see my feet!!!

Cravings: Cheesecake and apples.

Symptoms: Let's see .. heartburn, difficulty breathing, swelling ankles/toes, sore lower back ... I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Best moment this week: Jimmy put together Harper's crib and I started packing my hospital bag!

What I'm looking forward to: I'm looking forward to finishing up Harper's room and just getting ready for her. I cleaned the car sear, papasan chair, and swing this week and they are all sitting in our front room. I can't believe that she'll be here soon! Yeah!

Catching Up ...

I have not been on my game taking pictures over the last month and a half :( However, after I uploaded my pics, I did find some fun ones, so I thought I'd share what we've been up to. ======================== Griffin and Layne got to meet baby Aylah for the first time after a basketball game. Uncle Nate taught Griffin how to spin a basketball on one finger (this wasn't exactly a success - ha!).
We painted magnets on a cold, icy February day.
Griffin was being his normal silly self while out to dinner for Grandpa Dean's birthday!
Someone being ornery while at breakfast with Mommy!
We took a trip to the I-X Center Amusement Park and had a blast! Griffin loved riding the rides and there were so many geared towards his age (plus, there was no waiting!!!)!

31 week survey

How far along: I am now 31 weeks pregnant ... the time is flying by! I'm wearing my favorite pajama pants in this picture ... it's Spring Break!

Size of baby: This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt (according to Babycenter). Umm ... a growth spurt! I'm not sure I can handle much more weight on my belly ;)

Maternity clothes: Definitely maternity pants and mostly maternity shirts. Some of my favorite shirts are getting too short in the front :(

Gender: It's a GIRL named Harper Elizabeth!

Movement: I feel her move A LOT! She also woke me up from sleep three times in one night!

Sleep: I am starting to get super tired again and I took a 3 hour nap over the weekend!

What I miss: Being able to move, walk without getting winded, bend over, and walk without a waddle! I also miss being able to see my feet!!!

Cravings: I am still on a jellybean kick (Starburst Reds - yum) and I also craved water and Dairy Queen twist cones dipped in cherry ... double yum!

Symptoms: I had heartburn for the first time ever this week ... I was telling Jimmy what I felt and he had to tell me it was heartburn! Ha!

Best moment this week: Spending my Spring Break with Griffin (even if we've had some trying days ... my little man is stubborn). I also got a pregnancy massage ... it was awesome!!!

What I'm looking forward to: I have been thinking a lot about what/who Harper will look like. I'm not sure why, but I think she might have dark hair that stays (Griffin's dark hair fell out).
